BIOGRAPHY

The very first book I bought was by Louise May Alcott. I bought it with my allowance, and I was seven. Of course, my mother guided me in the task. I liked it, and what was supposed to be a monthly visit to the book store, rapidly became a weekly visit.
I had no idea how reading would become a signature of my personality and part of me. I had become a reader.

NON-FICTION

This book came about because a friend of my son challenged me. He had finished his gastronomy course at a very famous international college and he loved my food.

Not until that day had I been aware of the complications involved in the eating act. It seems silly because it is essential to every living being and we do it since we are born till we die, and many times a day.
Nobody needed to tell me how much work it requires, being myself a mother of three rambunctious young men.
However, measures as precise as those of a jewelry artist had never seemed necessary. Except for baking. Baking is another matter altogether.
At home, we make food so naturally, it never needs a printed recipe.
It comes from the hands, not even the brain has a very significant role in preparing staple food.
Writing a book on that was laughable.
